Absolutely love it, Reviews Philips Avent Double Electric Comfort Breast Pump

I have used Medela Pump in Style in the past and I think this Philips Avent Double Electric Comfort Breast Pump is very comparable as far as pumping power, but I personally had better luck with this Avent pump. I think it is more comfortable and am able to pump more milk at a time.
Philips Avent Double Electric Comfort Pump review
Purchase the Philips AVENT SCF334/04 - Comfort Double electric breast pump
I researched pumps (for what felt like forever) before finally deciding on the Avent Breast Pump. It is awesome that this pump is a closed system and I don't have to worry about milk getting in the tubes which makes cleaning the parts a breeze.
  • More comfort means more milk, in less time
  • Unique design of breast shield means no more lean forward for mom
  • Unique massage cushion to gently stimulate milk flow
I think it is comparable to the expensive Medela Symphony that hospitals use, for home use this is just as good. In terms of milk output, it does just as well if not better.

Philips Avent Double Electric Comfort Breast Pump Pros:
  • Flanges are a better size and design for larger and engorged breasts
  • Great cushions on the flanges make the suction more comfortable with added massage that I think helps with let down
  • Simple 3 suction settings instead of a dial that is hard to control or duplicate suction results
  • Even the highest suction setting, while effective, is not uncomfortable (as it was with the Medela for me)
  • Good amount of adaptable products for catching milk (I use the Avent milk storage 6 oz containers and the wide-mouth adapter to catch the up to 6+ oz I get from each breast when I pump)
  • Lightweight
  • Stimulates more milk from me than the Medela pump
  • Can use just one "side" without having to plug or change suction settings
Philips Avent Double Electric Comfort Breast Pump Cons:
  • Lots of little silicon parts are tedious to clean after each session.
  • Too loud for my baby to sleep next to me while I pump. This may just be my baby though.
I am done within about ten minutes- including clean-up sometimes it takes almost fifteen, but it is easy to use and I don't have to worry about the milk backing up into the hose as there is NO WAY unless the pump is damaged.

If you're a mom, I would expect this pump to outlast your kid, easily. Even if your family plan is to start your own basketball team, considering this pump costs nearly 1/10th the Medela, it will be cheaper in the end to buy a new Avent when it breaks than to spend much more on a Medela in the hopes it lasts longer.

More than 91 people has been buy Philips Avent Double Electric Comfort Breast Pump and 80% are satisfied (as 12/19/2013).

I would definitely recommend this Philips Avent Double Electric to others, and the Amazxx price was much better than any stores I looked at.
